Workshops

The biannual workshops in Nigeria and Ghana form the central part of the training for the doctoral and master students. They are composed of a theoretical examination on a subject, the study of the methodology of research and advanced training in scientific research, ICT-based teaching and learning and project management.

In the third year of funding, courses in methodology will be replaced by job-related training. The forms of teaching are thematic-based lectures with discussion, text work in small groups, presentations and colloquia and individual work. Each meeting is based on key issues that concern all research projects and is taught using interdisciplinary approaches in order to convey general skills on the subject.
