Biography

Adiwu Talatu Onkala holds a PhD in Painting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts, University of Maiduguri. She has participated in several exhibitions and workshops within the country. Talatu’s research intrests circle around artistic explorations that involve nature, art educational issues, as well as contemporary art practices. Other areas of interest include research data collection and field survey in partnership with NGOs whose focus is on peace initiatives, sustainble development and the restructuring of settlments for IDPs. She is a keen observer and holds further interest in Reaserch and data management/analysis.
