Abstract

Cultural-historical objects with a long and diverse history offer promising opportunities for child-oriented art education. In cooperation with the Hildesheim Cathedral Museum, students from the University of Hildesheim developed and tested six transcultural mediation settings with pupils from Nord Primary School, which are presented in six booklets. In these, it is primarily about giving children a voice, following up on their questions, interpretations, and approaches to the objects.
