Publications

The Publications section brings together the scholarly output connected to our Center, including our open access series Histories of Philosophies in Global Perspectives as well as books and articles by team members and fellows. It reflects our commitment to rethinking philosophical historiography beyond Eurocentric frameworks, making neglected sources accessible, and advancing theoretical debates in global, intercultural, and decolonial philosophy. Through bibliographical guides, critical editions, and systematic contributions, our publications aim to foster polylogical exchange and expand the horizons of philosophical research.

Histories of Philosophies in Global Perspectives

Open Access Publication Series

“Histories of Philosophies in Global Perspectives” is an open access publication Series, originally initiated by the DFG Koselleck research project “Histories of Philosophy in a Global Perspective” (Hi:Phi) at the University of Hildesheim, Germany. This project compiled a database of histories of philosophy in 26 languages, both European and non-European, which forms the basis for commented bibliographical guides to different regional traditions of philosophical historiography. The series is now continued by the Center for Advanced Studies “Philosophizing in a Globalized World” (Glo•Phi), which carries forward the legacy of the Hi:Phi initiative. It comprises three sub-series—historiographies, historical documents, and theoretical contributions—all published under non-restrictive open-access licenses in cooperation with Hildesheim University Press.
