Thema: 4000 years of "Kriegsmathematik"
Info: The application of mathematical methods on military aims, its impact on the progress of mathematics and the various aspects of interrelations between science and social trends in different historical periods will be discussed in the lecture. A special emphasis will be put on the history of ballistics, especially in World War I.
