The English Department of Hildesheim University looks forward to welcoming you to the annual conference of the German Association for the Study of British Cultures, held at Bühler Campus from 21st to 23rd November 2019. This year’s BritCult conference is dedicated to the topic “fear and anxiety in contemporary British cultures”. Our keynote speakers are Dr. Patrick Duggan and Prof. Dr. Matthew Kramer.

8. Niedersächsisches Kolloquium der Fremdsprachendidaktik
Nach mehrjähriger Pause wird am 22. Juni 2018 das 8. Niedersächsische Kolloquium der Fremdsprachendidaktik unter dem Motto „Classroom Discourse - Durch Unterrichtsbeobachtungen Fremdsprachenunterricht verbessern“ in Hildesheim stattfinden.

Summer School Multilinguism - 25th to 29th July 2016
A cooperation of the Center of Diversity Education, the CeLeb and the IdSL
Due to their relevance for contemporary developments in our society, the topics multilingualism and diversity are of great research importance in both higher education and daily interaction. This conference workshop aims to present, discuss, and look further into the latest international research about these topics. The Summer School: Multilingualism and Diversity Education invites international speakers to enter into a dialogue with students, graduate students, and researchers.

Die Fachtagung
- informiert über vertiefende Prinzipien und Aspekte des bilingualen Lernens
- führt in grundlegende Aspekte des Zweitspracherwerbs ein
- stellt eine Verbindung zwischen Theorie und Praxis her
- gibt praktische Anleitungen für die Arbeit in zweisprachigen Kitas und Schulen
- ermöglicht einen Austausch zwischen Lehrenden, Studierenden und WissenschaftlerInnen
- präsentiert Beispiele für gute Praxis des bilingualen Lernens
