Forschungsbeitrag auf der WI 2025 als Best Paper nominiert

Wir freuen uns, dass ein Beitrag mit ISUM-Beteiligung in Kooperation mit der Hochschule Hannover und der Roskilde University (Dänemark) auf der diesjährigen Internationalen Tagung der Wirtschaftsinformatik (WI) in Münster für den Best Paper Award nominiert wurde. Zwar ging die Auszeichnung letztlich an eine andere der insgesamt 15 nominierten Arbeiten, doch schon die Nominierung unterstreicht die hohe Qualität unserer Forschung: Mit der Platzierung unter den besten 15 von über 115 vorgestellten Arbeiten und über 400 Einreichungen gesamt– bei einer im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren nochmals gesunkenen Annahmequote – ist sie ein bedeutender Erfolg.
Die WI ist die größte Konferenz im Bereich Wirtschaftsinformatik und Informationssysteme im deutschsprachigen Raum und wird im VHB Publication Media Rating 2024 mit B gerankt.

Abstract. The impact of digital choice environments (DCE) on the choice process is still unexplored. This paper seeks to investigate the influence of DCE components on choice, and how DCE components interact with interventions that nudge users towards specific choices. Employing a configurational perspective, we explore whether the presence, position, and perception of DCE components have an impact on both choice and intervention effectiveness. We conducted an online experiment with 421 participants in a fictional e-commerce store in six different configuration instances and found that particularly the presence and position of DCE components influence user choices. We contribute to research and practice by shaping awareness of the interplay of DCE components and by highlighting the subtle yet impactful role of DCE configurations on user choices.
