Study Programme
The BA Global Information Management (GIM) allows students to start the courses in English and learn German in parallel. The last two years are studied in German and include an internship. Providing students the possibility to develop an individual multilingual profile and to expand communicative competences.
The internship gives a first impression of the world of working in a German company and connects the theory of the studies with work experience.
GIM includes content relating to Digitalization and Internationalization. Language and information science are combined and intercultural processes are viewed from a linguistic perspective. Furthermore, the design of user-friendly websites as well as software systems in an international context will be addressed.

Application Process
The application process will end on May 2nd 2025.
Please hand in your application through www.uni-assist.de.
The platform will be open from March 17th, 2025 to accept your documents. Before this, Global Information Management is not visible on the platform.
German Language Class
The German language class will be a part of the studies, where it is possible to learn German.
It is speficially adapted to the needs of the students. Everyday language will be trained as well as technical language in the context of information science.
- Accomplish German langauge level: Telc B2/C1 (CEFR)
- Duration: 4 semesters
- Affordable base for the internship in a German organization
- Cooperation partner: Volkshochschule Hildesheim
- Costs around: 500 - 600 € per term

GIM offers many chances and job opportunities. Since it is a practical oriented, interdisciplinary and international study program, there is the opportunity to work in companies of different areas.

Hildesheim´s Internship possibilities
Hildesheim offers many possibilities regarding the internship.
Many organizations such as Robert Bosch GmbH, SEG Automotive Germany GmbH, Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke GmbH or MediFox GmbH & Co. KG.
The city is also very close to Hannover which provides further opportunities to find an internship.

When does the GIM Bachelor programme start? |
GIM will start in October 2025. Registration for international students needs to be done by the 2nd of May. |
Is an Internship obligatory? |
Yes, it is obligatory to do an internship. The internship will enable you a better understanding of the German culture and working style. |
