Workshop des Projekts „Automatische Bilderkennung frühneuzeitlicher Porträtgrafik als App (PortApp)“
Die aktuelle Entwicklung KI-gestützter Bilderkennung verändert den Umgang mit historischem Bildmaterial. Der Begriff der Ähnlichkeit erhält neue Relevanz und neue Bedeutungen. Anhand aktueller Projekte der bildorientierten digitalen Geisteswissenschaften geht die Tagung diesem Wandel in theoretischer und praktischer Perspektive nach.
CheckThat! - CLEF2022 Lab - Fighting the COVID-19 Infodemic and Fake News Detection
The CheckThat! Lab in CLEF aims at fighting misinformation and disinformation in social media, in political debates, and in the news, with focus on three tasks. Task 3 - Fake new detection offers a multi-class fake news detection. Judgments come from fact checking sites.
PortApp: Porträtforschung trifft auf Computer Vision
Im neuen Forschungsprojekt PortApp: Entwicklung einer automatischen Bilderkennung für frühneuzeitliche Porträtgrafik, bereitgestellt als App für mobile Geräte werden moderne Algorithmen auf historische Buchbestände angewandt. Partner sind die Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel und die Universität Hildesheim.
Hate Speech and Offensive Content Identification in Indo-European Languages (HASOC)
Offensive language is pervasive in social media. HASOC intends to develop data and evaluation resources for several languages. The topic of harmful content is broad and covers multiple research directions. But from the user’s aspect, they are affected by them all. Often, it is studied individually, like misinformation and hate speech. Research has been done on one platform, monolingual, on a particular issue. It leads to harmful content spreaders switching platforms and languages to reach the user base.
