Social Fund

Whether it’s unexpected additional costs, delays in state support or personal emergencies – financial crises can plunge students into dire straits through no fault of their own. Since 2005, the University of Hildesheim Foundation’s Social Fund has been supporting students in acute financial distress – quickly, directly and in a spirit of solidarity. What began 20 years ago as an initiative by the then President of the University, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang-Uwe Friedrich is now a firmly established institution within university life: a sign of a vibrant university community.
