Social Fund

In 2005, the former President of the University of Hildesheim Foundation, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang-Uwe Friedrich, laid the foundation stone for the social fund. As part of a lecture series, he asked participants to make their first donations to the social fund; further support followed from professors at the university. Since 2008, the Social Fund has been a permanent institution under the umbrella of the University of Hildesheim. The Social Fund has thus been supporting students of the University of Hildesheim Foundation for 18 years who are no longer able to continue or complete their studies due to financial hardship.

The Social Fund is generated from funds of the University of Hildesheim Foundation, income from charity events and earmarked donations.
