UNI card for students: validating the card

For students, the UNI card is a student ID as well as a season ticket for public transport and some cultural establishments (except in semesters on leave). When validating your card, the new validity date of these functions is printed on the card. Thus, to be able to keep using the card as a public transport ticket, students have to use the validation stations once every semester.

 

Validation machine locations

The validation machines are located at the following positions:

 

building E, 2nd floor	in front of the computer lab
building N, ground floor	under the staircase
building I, ground floor	on the pillar

 

 

When to validate

Validating your card for the coming semester is only possible once the tuition fees are transferred and the re-registration for the next semester has bee fully processed by the registration office.
Exception: In leave semesters, validation is only possible starting on April 1st / October 1st.

IMPORTANT:
Maintenance and servicing work can lead to temporary outages in the validation service on the first work day of the semester. So if April 1st / October 1st falls on a work day, validation may only be possible in the afternoon.
