Deutschlandstipendium

It was finally time again! On 20 November 2024, in the Audimax of the University of Hildesheim, it was once again time to say: ‘Congratulations on your scholarship!’

Once again this year, the scholarship holders and sponsors of the 2024/25 funding year were presented with their certificates in a festive atmosphere.
Particularly pleasing: The current funding year is a record year for the Friend- and Fundraising at the University of Hildesheim. The total number of scholarships is 244, including 126 students who were awarded a Deutschlandstipendium. 25 students were awarded the Lore-Auerbach-Stipendium, which honours outstanding university commitment. A further 93 students were awarded a Landesstipendium of €500 each.

The guitar duo Quidam, consisting of Leander Meyer and Jan Felix Bergmann, opened the evening with music. After a review of the past funding years and introductory words by President Prof Dr May-Britt Kallenrode, the audience had the opportunity to get to know some of the scholarship holders better. In personal greeting videos, the students reported on their subjects of study and their voluntary work and thanked the sponsors. The evening's moderator, Laura Wirthmüller, then led an interesting conversation on stage. Her dialogue partners were the Lore-Auerbach-Stipendium holder Luisa Adamski (M.A. Literary Writing and Editing) and the Deutschlandstipendium holders Justin Dudley (M. Sc. Psychology) and Toni Maurice Mausch (M. Sc. Sports Science). Prof Dr Martin Schreiner, the University's Commissioner for Foundation Affairs, as well as Markus F. Langer and Julia Labs from Friend- and Fundraising, thanked the sponsors who make the large number of Deutschlandstipendien awarded each year possible.

And then, finally: the awarding of the certificates. The scholarship holders were ceremoniously called up and received their scholarship certificates.
After the ceremony in the Audimax, the evening ended in the cafeteria. Over pumpkin soup, finger food and cold drinks, the sponsors were able to get to know ‘their’ scholarship holders and the students were able to network with each other. A photo box was used to capture memories of the great evening.
