Competence Centre for Entrepreneurship
Welcome at KET – the Competence Centre for Entrepreneurship and Transfer at the University of Hildesheim
You are a student and working on your thesis topic has given you a business idea, but you don’t know whether this idea is already marketable?
You have always wanted to be self-employed, but you are still lacking a concrete business idea or co-founders?
You are a scientist, and you are wondering whether your research results can be transformed into something marketable?
In these and many more cases related to entrepreneurship don’t hesitate to contact us at KET! We are an interdisciplinary ten-member team with the goal of establishing an activating start-up culture at the University of Hildesheim, and we are here for you. Whether you are a student, research or teaching assistant, alumni, or professor, whether you have just a rough idea or already a full-fledged business plan, whether you want to found the next unicorn or just think that being self-employed is a good plan B — KET is the right place for you!
We at KET — the Competence Centre for Entrepreneurship and Transfer — have set ourselves the dual task of raising awareness of entrepreneurial thinking and action, and of providing professional qualifications and counselling for all members of our university. We see entrepreneurship as something that can be learned and that you don’t have to be born for. We welcome start-up projects related to digitization and technology. Moreover, the topics of business succession, social entrepreneurship, and cultural entrepreneurship are highly relevant to us. We also support initiatives in this area.
By the way, KET is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). As a public institution, we have no economic interests of our own. We are there to help, not to make money from you, and help without any service in return. Just give it a try.
We look forward to your ideas and are happy to support you!
