International Profile

The University of Hildesheim is an internationally oriented and cosmopolitan university. The university is involved in 187 cooperations with educational institutions in other countries. The focus of Hildesheim's efforts lies on the ERASMUS programme of the European Commission which currently deals with 148 European partner universities in 27 countries. The university is proud to hold one of the top places in the table of percentage outgoings for all Germany - and that for many years now! Every year the exchange of 400 ERASMUS students is coordinated by the International Office.

The Center for World Music is a unit which researches in the field of World Music and offers not only teaching, but also a programme of public performances and events.

The Hildesheim Language Forum runs in cooperation with the (HAWK) Fachhochschule Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen and the Hildesheim Evening Institute to promote the students' command of languages.
