Research Culture & Research Ethics
The University of Hildesheim provides support services to help its researchers with ethical and legal questions and to facilitate public engagement with the research projects conducted at the university.
Research Ethics Committees
The Senate Research Ethics Committee, which is responsible for the whole university, and the Faculty 1 (Educational & Social Sciences) Research Ethics Committee, which serves researchers in Faculty 1, complement each other. They advise researchers on all aspects of research ethics and, upon application, issue formal ethics opinions.
Research Integrity
The safeguarding of good research practice is a core responsibility of the University of Hildesheim and of all its members and affiliates. The university therefore promotes good research practice and has procedures in place to prevent, identify, and sanction research misconduct.
