IT-Infrastructure
The Institute of Mathematics and Applied Computer Science is one of the biggest IT service providers at Hildesheim University. We currently support about 90 computers for our students and students of other institutes and faculties. Within the institute building at the "Samelsonplatz" the institute supports the central computer center to provide access to the local network.
One the software side, the institute develops and executes the lecture information system LIS for the whole university. Based on this software, each semester the lecture list is created, resources were assigned and parts of the costing are done. Furthermore, we run the central eLearning plattform LearnWeb (based on Moodle) and the content management system of the university.
The institute also initiates a couple of smaller IT services, e.g.:
- Event calender (German)
- Webcam at the main campus (German)
