Welcome to the web pages of the research group Data Science

The Data Science group at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Hildesheim studies research questions in the field of machine learning and its applications. A current methodological focus is on deep learning methods, in particular for image and speech data. On the application side, we are for example investigating the use of machine learning and artifical intelligence technologies in agriculture, with the goal of increasing sustainability, efficiency and animal welfare in modern agriculture. In joint projects (funded e.g. by EU, DFG, BLE) we closely collaborate with partners from computer science and other disciplines.
