Innovation Network: SmartHybrid - Subproject 'Process Engineering'

The Innovation network SmartHybrid consists of six research institutions from different scientific disciplines from Lower Saxony (Germany) that are exploring new digital services and business models for the future in close cooperation with the regional economy. Doing so, new and innovative technologies such as the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, virtual reality and 3D printing, which can be used to develop new digital services for many types of products, are of central importance in SmartHybrid. With bundling services in terms of “product-service systems”, the Innovation Network is focusing on a topic that is being discussed more and more in the context of digitalization. The interdisciplinarity of SmartHybrid is unique, and thus, builds a bridge between different fields including business administration, information systems, computer science, and engineering. The network seeks to develop cross-sector and holistic solutions that can be transferred into practice.
