Topic of the dissertation:

"The Focus of young people in the field of sustainability: Effectiveness of the systematic use of reflection phases in science education“

The concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) focuses on key future problems such as climate change or resource use. Taking into account economic, ecological, social and cultural aspects, a critical debate and an intra- and inter-generational fair decision-making should be examined. This is based on an extended understanding of the existing concept of evaluation competence, which also uses intuitive and habitual decision-making processes. In a field study, the effectiveness of a reflection on decisions shows that this reflection allows students to explore and create more concrete sustainability-relevant decisions.
