Our Degree Programms
Within the area of information technology we offer four study programs: »Applied computer science« »Information Management & Information Technology« and »Information Systems«, both on Bachelor and Master levels (B.Sc. / M.Sc.; German: »Angewandte Informatik« / »Informationsmanagement and Informationstechnologie« / »Wirtschaftsinformatik«). There is also a Bachelor's degree course in Data Science. The International Master's Program in Data Analytics is an English-only Master's program, as is the Master's in Software Engineering.
In the field of Environmental Science, Faculty 4 offers the study option “Environmental Protection” within the 2-subject Bachelor's degree program. The Master's degree course “Environment, Nature Conservation and Sustainability” builds on this.
The polyvalent two-subject Bachelor's course (Bachelor of Science degree) comprises the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Economics as well as Computer Science from Faculty 4; in the professionalization area, the field of Education and Social Sciences (teacher training option) or an application-related subject specialization (e.g. Environmental Protection, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science) can be chosen. The Master of Education course, which builds on this Bachelor's degree, prepares students for the teaching profession at primary, secondary and intermediate schools, with a particularly high demand for teachers from STEM fields.
Despite a small part of classes being tought in English, a good command of the German language is neccessary to study the courses currently offered, except for the »International Master's Program in Data Analytics« and »Software Engineering«. The International Office (IO) of the University of Hildesheim will be glad to offer assitance to any students form abroad if they are interested in studying here - both full-time and as an exchange student.
