- Welcome to academia: A cooperation with workshops on literature research and how to write your first term paper: It's all new at the start of your studies? With the “Welcome to Academia” program, the Central Student Counseling Service supports students in learning helpful skills for a successful start to their studies and a successful career.
- Interdisciplinary key competencies (FüSK): Whether for your studies or your future work life: This workshop offer is available to all students of all disciplines free of charge for individual further education or for the acquisition of new competencies and skills.

University Library
The Academic Information Center of the University of Hildesheim provides printed and electronic media for research, teaching and studies.
In addition to the regular workstations, the center offers individual workstations that can be booked online. You can also scan, print and copy there. Graduate Center
The Graduate Center forms an umbrella structure for interdisciplinary activities to support early career researchers and academic staff development at the University of Hildesheim. It is an information center for all questions concerning doctorates, habilitations and junior professorships.
Also, the center offers qualified individual advice and funding advice regarding financial support options. The center bundles interdisciplinary qualification offers from all institutions at the University of Hildesheim, plans supplementary course and funding offers and organizes cross-university information events. The Methodology Office offers advice to students, doctoral candidates and other academics at the University of Hildesheim who are carrying out empirical research for social or cultural science projects.
