Prof. Dr. Vanessa-Isabelle Reinwand-Weiss

Prof. Dr. Vanessa-Isabelle Reinwand-Weiss studied education, theater and media studies, Italian studies, and philosophy in Erlangen and Bologna, completing her doctorate at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2007 with a thesis on educational and learning processes in theater. She then conducted a postdoctoral study on early childhood education at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). After a junior professorship in cultural education at the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim, she has been director of the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel since 2012 and continues to teach as a professor of cultural education in Hildesheim. 

Vanessa-Isabelle Reinwand-Weiss is active in numerous cultural education committees and juries. For example, she is a founding member of the nationwide Cultural Education Research Network and the Early Childhood Cultural Education Network, and was a member of the Council for Cultural Education from 2013 to 2021.
