Now and in the Future: Developing a Culture of Sustainability—Practices and Perspectives of Sociocultural Centers

“Now and in the Future: Developing a Culture of Sustainability: Practices and Perspectives of Sociocultural Centers” was a Research Project conducted by the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim in cooperation with the Federal Association for Socioculture (Bundesverband Soziokultur e.V.) and funded by the Fund for a Culture of Sustainability.

"Developing a Culture of Sustainability: Practices and Perspectives of Sociocultural Centers" is the official title of the Research Project conducted by the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim in cooperation with the Federal Association for Socioculture (Bundesverband Soziokultur e.V.), funded by the Culture of Sustainability Fund of the German Council for Sustainable Development. Under the short title “JetztinZukunft,” the Project links sociocultural centers with sustainability, responsible stewardship of our environment, and a commitment to combating climate change.

From May 2018 to September 2020, sociocultural centers from several German states, in collaboration with the Federal Association for Socioculture (Bundesverband Soziokultur e.V.) and in cooperation with other partners, and under the scientific direction of the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim, contributed to the development of practical approaches for sustainability.
