"Nachhaltigkeitskultur entwickeln: Praxis und Perspektiven soziokultureller Zentren“ (Developing a culture of sustainability: Praxis und Perspektiven soziokultureller Zentren), is the official title of the research project in cooperation with the Bundesverband Soziokultur e.V., funded by the Council for Sustainable Development's Sustainability Culture Fund. Under the short title "Jetzt in Zukunft", the project linked socio-cultural centres with sustainability, a responsible approach to our environment and a commitment to combating climate change. ECoC Lab (2017 - 2021)
The ECoC LAB (European Capital of Culture Laboratory) was a research project launched in April 2017 and completed in February 2021 under the direction of Professor Dr Wolfgang Schneider. It saw itself as an overarching scientific authority, process facilitator, neutral discourse moderator and cooperation partner in the application process in which German cities competed for the title of "European Capital of Culture 2025".
