About
Tanja Wischnewski is doing her doctorate on “Freedom and Dependence” at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Hildesheim. She has been a lecturer since 2023. From April 2022 to March 2025, she was a doctoral researcher at the Research Training Group “Aesthetic Practice”. With a focus on aesthetics, she was a research student during her studies and later a project assistant at the Institute for German Literature and its Didactics at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. She studied social sciences, philosophy and cultural studies at the University of Leipzig and at Smolny College at the University of St. Petersburg. She also completed a double master's degree in Sociology and Aesthetics at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and at the EHESS in Paris. She completed all three degrees with distinction. Her studies were supported by DAAD scholarships (PROMOS and Go East), ERASMUS+ and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
