Research Group Experimental Psychopathology (Prof. Dr. Jan Richter)

The Experimental Psychopathology research group deals with issues relating to the etiology and psychotherapy of mental disorders at the intersection between basic psychological disciplines and clinical-psychotherapeutic fields of application. In close collaboration with national and international cooperation partners and taking into account different system levels, processes and mechanisms in the development and treatment of fear, anxiety, trauma-related and depressive disorders are investigated. Various biopsychological methods are used.

In teaching, the working group is responsible for various areas of clinical psychology and psychotherapy in the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in psychology.
