Research Methods and Evaluation
Psychological Research Methods addresses the foundational principles underlying empirical research, as well as the methods used to plan, conduct, and analyze empirical studies. These principles include theory construction, research design, data collection, and analysis. Consequently, research methods form the backbone of scientific psychology.
The relevance of evaluation research is also growing for psychologists, and it is recognized as a standalone module within the MSc Psychology program. As well as demonstrating the impact and effectiveness of psychosocial and educational interventions in an era of shrinking resources, evaluation is also understood as a tool for developing and optimizing programs, products, and organizations.
