A warm welcome to the Office for Gender Equality at the University of Hildesheim
Gender equality is a mandate enshrined in both the German Basic Law and the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act, and the university community is responsible for its implementation. The University of Hildesheim advocates an intersectional understanding of gender equality. In doing so, it takes into account the diversity among women and focuses on the intersections with other categories of discrimination, such as ethnic origin, religion, or worldview, as well as caregiving responsibilities.
