Inside 360° - Time for listening

The orchestra musica assoluta with a concert series as guest at CWM

Attention, imagination, humanness - opportunities for in-depth listening are rare in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In four concerts, the Hanover orchestra musica assoluta creates just that: a space for an intensive experience of contemporary music. With the INSIDE 360° series, the orchestra traces the composers Ravel, Thorvaldsdottir, Encke and Murail and takes the audience into the inner world of music. Distraction is banished, silence, sound and listening merge into one. The Berlin presenter Meike Pfister takes the audience on an exploration of key works of contemporary music.

The first concert of the series, originally planned for 17.12., unfortunately has to be cancelled due to the tense infection situation. We're going to make up for it in April and hope to also hold the concerts in January, February and March as planned!

CONCERT SERIES

 2st Jan, 20th Feb, 18th March and 29th April 2022 each at 7.30pm
Center for World Music
Timotheusplatz 1
31141 Hildesheim
Admission free - Proof of vaccination or recovery AND valid negative Covid-test required

musica assoluta

Since 2011, the Hanover-based orchestra musica assoluta, led by the composer and conductor Thorsten Encke, has managed the balancing act between the music of our present and a stylistically wide-ranging dramaturgy. With award-winning musicians from all over Germany, the ensemble has founded its own concert series in Hanover, caused a sensation with its programmatic density, and responds to a noticeable need for a change in concert and listening habits with its work in schools and the promotion of young talent.

INSIDE 360°

The INSIDE 360° concert series aims to create a space where people meet in an atmosphere of listening and experimentation. The a close encounter between musicians and the audience opens up boundaries and promotes mutual understanding. With INSIDE 360° musica assoluta will deepen the connection between today's music and socially relevant topics of our time. It breaks down barriers with introductions and new approaches to music education, and aims to reach a heterogeneous audience - for the sensory experience of INSIDE 360°, specialist knowledge is irrelevant.
