As part of the series of events "Artist Training DIGITAL BASICS", an excursion to the Center for World Music will take place. The offer of networking and learning is aimed at exiled musicians and artists with a migration background.

The CWM opens its doors, introduces itself and invites you to actively get to know its diverse, current fields of activity. A beatboxing workshop with the musician Edgar Wendt offers a practical excursion into the diversity of music: "Your voice as an instrument - introduction to your human beatbox: Your mouth space, your tongue and your lips connect with your voice and let previously undreamt-of sounds of you become reality."

The DAAD project Artist Training DIGITAL BASICS is a qualification programme at the UdK Berlin Career College for exiled artists. From August 2020 to December 2021, learning videos on basic topics of self-employment in Germany will be produced and conveyed to professional artists in exile from all sectors by means of in-depth workshops, consultations, practical modules and excursions. The teaching goals of the further education programmes are networking in the local cultural and creative industries, strategic positioning in the respective artistic orientation and establishing oneself on the labour market.

The project Artist Training DIGITAL BASICS is offered by the UdK Berlin Career College and is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In cooperation with the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, the Global Board of the Landesmusikakademie and Musikland Niedersachsen GmbH and INTRO of the Behörde für Kultur und Medien Hamburg.
