What is Populism? - An answer in a comparative perspective
Hochschulöffentlicher Vortrag im Rahmen der Wippermann-Fellowship 2017 Prof. Manuel Anselmi, who has just published a book entitled Populism. An introduction will explain this topic, highlighting why this phenomenon is spreading on a global scale and what it actually means for contemporary politics.
Anselmi will deal with how populism has evolved, through some European and Latin American cases, especially in Italy. It will also illustrate the profound relationship between populism and democracy, in the light of global social and economic change.
