Transport

Hildesheim is located in southern Lower Saxony, just 30 km from the state’s capital, Hannover, and two hours from Berlin and Frankfurt. It is very easy to reach by car or public transport.

 

By train

Hildesheim is easy to reach by train. Several ICE train connections guarantee quick travel from anywhere in Germany, e.g. Berlin, Frankfurt a. M., Munich, Stuttgart and other destinations. By Plane

The nearest airports are Hannover, Frankfurt and Berlin. The best way to get from Hannover Airport to Hildesheim is take the S-Bahn local train to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) then take a regional train to Hildesheim.

 

Riding a bicycle: Fun, freedom, and fresh air

Is it possible to get some fresh air in the midst of the city? Can you enjoy the countryside and clear your head on your way to work? In Hildesheim that’s no problem! The Kulturcampus Domäne Marienburg is in a beautiful, natural setting but only 6 kilometers from downtown Hildesheim. The cycle paths in Hildesheim are ideal for students who want to bike to and from the city center. The bicycle route to the Cultural Campus leads through the beautiful old town, past the Hohnsen lake, along the Innerste river and through meadows to the campus.

You can book a bike from the management of the ARJ Academy and Conference – just pick it up in the morning at a central location and it’s free for you to use all day.
