1| Abitur or a recognized upper-school leaving examination outside Germany equivalent to Abitur

2| very good knowledge of German (e.g. the TestDaF examination, at least Level 4, or the DSH examination, at least Level 2)

3| If you want to apply for sports: Aptitude Test

Applications for Entry

You must apply for a place on the course. Further information is available on the pages of the International Office.

Application for Sports:
You must register for the Aptitude Test. The registration for the examination is online from the beginning of March. The closing date for registration is the 15th April in any one year. 

NOTE! For applicants with a foreign university entry qualification: The application for a place can be done through uni-assist.

Profile

The course involves taking two main subjects (first and second subject), for whose selection certain combinations are permitted according to school type (see list of subjects).

Vocational aim: Teacher Education qualification for Primary and Secondary Schools or for the German “Realschule”

The course has two main subjects. According to the Lower Saxony Master degree regulations for the Teacher Education option, one of the two main subjects must be German, English, Mathematics or Labour & Management/ Economy. This can be combined with any second subject taken from the study programme offered. In the case of Teacher Training programme for Secondary Schools, it is also possible to freely combine two sciences (e.g. physics and chemistry).

Vocational aim outside of Teacher Training

The individual combination of two subjects allows you to access other vocational fields and branches.
