2.4 Before leaving home

Before leaving home, you should make sure you have the following papers and bring them with you:

A valid passport or ID card
2 copies of your passport or ID card
Form E111/E128 or the international sickness insurance card. These must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Germany (see also "3.2 The introductory week").
